Positive Results from Drilling at Alhambra Silver Project
Texas Mineral Resources Corp. (TMRC) recently announced encouraging preliminary results from a 20-hole diamond drilling program at the historic Alhambra mine within the Black Hawk Mining District, New Mexico. The exploration phase focused on testing the Alhambra vein and several secondary targets to assess silver potential and vein characteristics. Results have been highly positive, with seven holes successfully intersecting brecciated carbonate veins and ten holes hitting visible sulfide-bearing veins at their projected depths.
A critical component of this success was the high-resolution NANOTEM (TDEM) survey utilized to pinpoint metallic features and vein structures in the district. CGI played a vital role in this discovery process, providing the sophisticated mathematical processing of the data collected by Zonge International. By converting complex geophysical signals into actionable drill targets, CGI helped validate the survey methodology as a premier tool for locating narrow, high-grade veins in the region.
TMRC CEO Daniel Gorski noted that the ability of these geophysical methods to accurately identify veins is a significant milestone for the project’s ongoing development. As core logging and analysis continue, the synergy between advanced geophysics and traditional exploration remains central to unlocking the value of the Alhambra site.
